The Department of Qur’anic Sciences and Islamic Education in our college organized a training course entitled (Revealing Academic Quotation) on Tuesday 17-19/4/2023. Lectured by Professor Dr. Huda Abbas Qanbar and Professor Dr. Muhammad Qassem Laibi. A group of college professors and graduate students, masters and doctorates, attended the course.
The course dealt with the definition of the concept of scientific citation, its types, causes and methods of treatment, as well as the most important electronic programs that reveal scientific citation and methods of working on it, especially the (Trentin) program adopted by our university.
The course came out with a set of recommendations, most notably the issuance of a guide for writing theses and university dissertations for the college and taking into account its departments in terms of documentation and texting methods and dealing with how to document the sources for each of them as well as the use of punctuation and punctuation marks as well as adherence to the methodology of scientific research, and strengthening the role of the supervisor in guiding the postgraduate student, and the necessity of adopting the correct method in citing the sources in writing the scientific research.
