A lens from “Uluq” documents and summarizes part of the maintenance work in the gardens of Ibn Rushd College, from the first planting and the start of rehabilitation efforts to the harvesting of the fruits of these valuable endeavors by our dear students. This was achieved through their voluntary work with the Basmat Amal Organization, contributing to the development of the college gardens and the maintenance of its buildings, in preparation for celebrating the Diamond Jubilee of the College on the occasion of the centenary of its establishment.
On this occasion, His Excellency the Dean, Professor Dr. Alawi Sader Jaza, delivered an inspiring speech to the gathering of volunteer students of both genders, urging them to adhere to moral values, love of the homeland, achieve academic excellence, and engage in extracurricular activities and voluntary work. He emphasized that such engagement fosters a sense of national belonging, strengthens cohesion among different segments of society, and helps build an ideal community capable of construction and development.
In turn, the students expressed their gratitude to the Dean for his sincere paternal sentiments, reflecting great care, a distinguished sense of responsibility, and dedication worthy of appreciation. They also extended their thanks to Mr. Ali Abdul Rahman and the Basmat Amal Organization team for their support, care, and commitment to noble values that help achieve lofty goals.
It is worth noting that this initiative represents a pioneering direction launched by the College, aiming to expand green spaces, create a healthy and clean environment, and sustain work momentum to achieve optimal outcomes.
