Under the directives of the Dean of the Ibn Rushd College of Education for Humanities at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Alawi Sader Jazaa, and under the supervision of the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Abdulwahid Jayyas, the Library Division continues to welcome postgraduate students and researchers, providing an integrated academic environment that supports their scholarly and research endeavors.

The library maintains a wide range of services designed to meet the needs of its patrons. Reading halls remain active throughout the day, facilitating the borrowing of books, master’s theses, and doctoral dissertations, while library staff also provide researchers with accurate bibliographic citations and reference information to support the preparation of their academic work.

Behind the shelves and digital workstations, library personnel carry out continuous technical operations, including the classification and cataloguing of books, theses, and dissertations, as well as the meticulous organization of traditional catalog records to ensure the effective management of the library’s collections.

These efforts are complemented by the ongoing enhancement of the library’s electronic databases through the internationally recognized Koha Integrated Library System (ILS). This continuous development reflects the College’s commitment to digitizing its knowledge resources, streamlining access to scholarly materials, and enabling researchers to locate reliable academic references more efficiently.
