Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Education Ibn Rushd for Human Sciences at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Alawi Sader Jaza, and the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Wahid Jiyass, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Inaam Hashim Hadi, third-year morning study students organized an academic artistic activity featuring a cinematic performance of Hamlet by the world-renowned playwright William Shakespeare.

The activity primarily aimed to enhance students’ linguistic and performance skills, develop their abilities in expression and public speaking, and provide a practical understanding of classical literary texts. It also sought to support theoretical learning through applied study and encourage student interaction, thereby boosting their self-confidence and enriching their educational and linguistic experience.

It is worth noting that the selection of Hamlet was inspired by its profound intellectual and humanistic exploration of themes such as inner conflict, hesitation, justice, and revenge. In addition, the play is considered one of the most prominent classical literary works that contributes to the development of critical analysis skills, distinguished by its linguistic beauty and unique theatrical style.
