The 23rd session of the University of Baghdad Council for the 2025–2026 academic year marked a new step in the university’s digital transformation. The President of the University, Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul Hassan Al-Zughaibi, electronically signed the university’s first official document through the Electronic Document Management System, announcing the launch of the system at the university.

The University Council voted to gradually adopt the system across the university’s colleges and departments, contributing to the automation of official correspondence, facilitating the electronic circulation of documents and processing of administrative transactions, and enhancing the speed and accuracy of administrative procedures.

The University President emphasized the importance of developing electronic systems and adopting them in ways that ensure efficiency and ease of use, noting that the system represents a practical step toward building a more efficient and flexible digital university environment.

The system was developed under the supervision of the Electronic Computing Center at the University of Baghdad, as part of the university’s efforts to expand digital transformation and employ modern technologies to enhance institutional work.
