Under the guidance and follow-up of Prof. Dr. Alawi Sader Jazaa, Dean of the College of Education Ibn Rushd for Humanities at the University of Baghdad, the Editorial Board of Al-Ustath Journal for Humanities and Social Sciences continues its regular activities and ongoing efforts to develop the scientific publishing environment. The work is led by the Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Dr. Saad Ali Zayer, and the Managing Editor, Prof. Dr. Raad Risam Younis, in line with the University’s vision of advancing Iraqi academic research.
The journal continues to fulfill its role as a peer-reviewed quarterly scientific journal, publishing four issues annually and covering various fields of the sciences. Through its ongoing efforts, the journal has successfully joined several prominent international platforms and indexing services, including the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), the Open Access Scholarly Publishing Association (OASPA), and Elsevier Digital Commons.
As part of its continued strategic plan for international recognition, the journal’s management has begun the necessary procedures to submit an official application for membership in the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). This step is intended to pave the way for the subsequent submission of the journal’s complete application for inclusion in the renowned Scopus database, contributing to the wider dissemination of Iraqi research and enhancing its academic standing internationally.
