Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Education Ibn Rushd for Humanities at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Alawi Sader Jazaa, and with the follow-up of the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Abdulwahid Jayyas, the College’s Student Activities Division – Art Unit participated in the Fine Arts and Outdoor Freehand Drawing Festival organized by the University of Baghdad’s Student Activities Department.
During the festival, the division presented an artistic mural entitled “A Nation’s Story,” depicting the suffering and struggle of the Palestinian people in the face of Israeli aggression. The mural highlighted their resilience, sacrifices, and steadfast commitment to their land and legitimate rights, expressing solidarity with the just Palestinian cause.
The mural was created with the participation of students from the Departments of History and Psychology, who contributed to conveying its humanitarian and national themes. Their work highlighted the role of visual arts in expressing just causes and communicating humanitarian messages through images and colors, while promoting students’ cultural and national awareness.
This participation reflects the College Dean’s commitment to supporting student and artistic activities, nurturing students’ talents and creativity, and providing opportunities to express humanitarian and national causes. It also reinforces the University’s role in promoting cultural and humanitarian values and fostering initiative and creativity among students.
