The Ibn Rushd College of Education for Human Sciences is pleased to congratulate our mother university on this achievement. The University of Baghdad topped the Iraqi universities in the Webometrics classification, where it came in first place among Iraqis among 122 Iraqi universities and ranked 41st among Arab universities among 1,365 Arab universities. This means that the University of Baghdad is ranked among the top 3% at the level Arab universities.
It is ranked 1571 globally among 1202 global universities. This means that the university’s global ranking is in the top 13% globally. This progress comes as a result of the thoughtful plan prepared by the Presidency of the University of Baghdad and followed in detail on a daily basis. The most important steps to enhance the university’s rank in the classification were the launch of the digital repository of the University of Baghdad, which provided all the research of the university’s journals to be available directly and for free. The second step was to follow the accounts of faculty members and graduate students on the research portals. Scientific research, spreading the culture of scientific research, using scientific research tools, creating LinkedIn pages for all groups, updating all group websites in English, and a set of other measures in the short and long term.
