As part of the voluntary activities carried out by Ibn Rushd College of Education for Human Sciences, and under the patronage and guidance of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Allawi Sader Jaza, and through the initiative of Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Registration, Professor Dr. Nidal Hanch Shabar, the staff of the Student Affairs and Registration Division, in cooperation with the Al-Taaoun Charity Association, visited an orphanage in the Al-Atafiyah area on Wednesday, 23/4/2025, to provide material and moral support to the children of the orphanage.

The delegation included Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Dawood Salman, Mr. Ihsan Juma Khamees, and Mr. Ahmed Ali Dara representing the Registration Division staff. They were accompanied by Mr. Zaid, Director of Public Relations and Media at the orphanage. During the visit, financial donations were delivered to support the care of the orphans.

The aim of the visit was to promote a culture of voluntary work, provide both material and moral support to the orphanage, bring joy to the children, and enhance their psychological well-being.

It is worth noting that this initiative is not the first of its kind, as it was preceded by several voluntary activities, including visits to elderly care homes and another orphanage in the Al-Shaula area, among other community-oriented engagements.

In conclusion, the Dean expressed gratitude to all those who supported this initiative and encouraged the continuation of such activities, emphasizing their importance in fostering national and humanitarian values among members of society.
