The volleyball team of the College of Education Ibn Rushd for Human Sciences achieved a distinguished sporting accomplishment after being crowned champions of the University of Baghdad Volleyball Championship for the current sports season. This came following their well-deserved victory over the College of Engineering team in the final match, which was held on the field of the College of Pharmacy at the Bab Al-Muadham Colleges Complex. The match was attended by the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Abdulwahid Jiyass, Mr. Ahmed Razzaq Younis, Director of the Student Activities Division at the college, and Mr. Haider Hussein, Head of the Sports Activity Unit, in addition to faculty members, staff, and a large number of students who came to support the team.

The team’s players delivered a strong performance characterized by skill, fighting spirit, and high concentration. They managed to control the course of the match and secure victory in straight sets, thereby confirming their superiority and well-deserved title.

The team players also expressed their happiness with this achievement, extending their thanks to the college administration, assistants, and student activities officials for their continuous support throughout the championship.

At the conclusion of the event, commemorative photos were taken bringing together the Dean of the college, the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, the Director of the Student Activities Division, the Head of the Sports Activity Unit, several faculty members who attended the match, the Head of the Follow-up Division, and the players, to document this special moment and celebrate an achievement added to the college’s record of sporting successes.
