The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Education Ibn Rushd for Human Sciences, University of Baghdad, organized a training course on university leadership in response to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research aimed at developing and qualifying university leadership at the mother university.
The course was held over three days at the Ibn Rushd Hall and was attended by heads of departments and administrative units across the University of Baghdad’s formations in Bab Al-Muadham. Dr. Zahraa Hatim Al-Sultani delivered the lectures, covering several key topics:

Explanation of public service and the laws governing the legal status of employees

The legal nature of the relationship between the employee and the administration
-
Employee duties and prohibited conduct

Disciplinary penalties, the competent authority to impose them, and means of appeal

The “withdrawal of hand” procedure, including half-salary payments during investigations or detention, and the conditions under which salaries are not reimbursed if the employee is dismissed
-
Methods of canceling disciplinary actions through one of three ways: one year passing since the penalty, distinguished performance by the employee, or a clean record during the year.
Participants actively engaged in the course through discussions and interventions, enriching the sessions and contributing to performance evaluation and improvement.
