A master’s thesis entitled “Economic Aspects in Sunan al-Daraqutni (d. 385 AH/995 AD)” was discussed at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Baghdad. The thesis was submitted by Raghad Majid Amer, a researcher in the Department of History, specializing in Islamic History.

The discussion committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Yahya Mohammed Ali as Chair, Prof. Dr. Muqtadir Hamdan Abdul Majeed as Member and Supervisor, and Assistant Prof. Dr. Maha Waddah Abdul Amir as Member, with Assistant Prof. Dr. Khalida Hamoud Salman joining as an External Member from the College of Education, Al-Mustansiriyah University.

The research aimed to shed light on hadiths related to financial affairs and economic transactions and to analyze them historically in order to highlight the economic variables reflected in the Prophetic Sunnah. It also sought to demonstrate the contribution of Imam al-Daraqutni’s Sunan to establishing economic principles governing these variables.
