The English Department Holds a Workshop on Enhancing Language Performance and Skills
The English Department at Ibn Rushd College of Human Sciences, University of Baghdad, held a scientific workshop on “Enhancing Language Performance and Skills for Fourth-Year Students during School Practice/Teaching Training”. The workshop was presented by M.M. Nebras Nihad Kamal and M.M. Ashwaq Sukkar Khiyoun, and attended by fourth-year students of the department.
The workshop was divided into three main axes: the first focused on language performance, the second on student interaction within the classroom, and the third on addressing challenges during lessons. The workshop aimed to tackle linguistic challenges faced by fourth-year students during school practice and to encourage students to engage in teaching experiences with confidence and advanced language competence.
In conclusion, the workshop provided several recommendations, the most important being the preparation of exemplary students who can serve as models of good teaching both during their training and in their future careers after graduation.
