Ph.D. Dissertation Discusses the Effectiveness of a Proposed Strategy Based on Cognitive Linguistic Theory in Acquiring Grammatical Concepts

The College of Education – Ibn Rushd for Human Sciences at the University of Baghdad hosted the defense of a Ph.D. dissertation titled “The Effectiveness of a Proposed Strategy Based on Cognitive Linguistic Theory in Acquiring Grammatical Concepts among Fourth-Year Literary Students” by researcher Khalid Hamza Kazem from the Department of Arabic Language, specializing in methods of teaching Arabic.

The examination committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Diaa Abdullah and supervised by Professor Dr. Sama Turki Dakhil, with the membership of several distinguished faculty members from the department. Additionally, Professor Dr. Qusay Abdul-Abbas from the College of Basic Education at Al-Mustansiriya University participated as an external member.

The aim of the research was to develop a strategy based on cognitive linguistic theory and to assess its effectiveness in enabling fourth-year literary stream students to acquire grammatical concepts.
