At the College of Education Ibn Rushd for Human Sciences, University of Baghdad, a master’s thesis entitled “The Prophetic Biography through the Book Siyar Aʿlām al-Nubalāʾ by Al-Dhahabi (d. 748 AH / 1347 AD)” was discussed by the student Najehah Khayzran Kamel from the Department of History, specializing in Islamic History, on Thursday, 11/12/2025.
The examination committee consisted of Prof. Mahmoud Turki (Chairman), Prof. Wisam Samin Mohammed, Asst. Prof. Omar Saadoun, and Asst. Prof. Sundus Ghani.
The importance of this study lies in the fact that it is essential for Muslims—especially students of knowledge—to become acquainted with the life of the Prophet and to follow his example. It also inspires readers toward personal growth and constructive development, leading to the formation of a balanced scholarly character, as the Prophetic biography contains many valuable lessons.
