The Arabic Language Department Discusses the Impact of the Self-Thinking Description Method on Developing Imaginative Writing Skills

The College of Education for Humanities / Ibn Rushd at the University of Baghdad held a discussion of a master’s thesis titled “The Effect of the Self-Thinking Description Method on Developing Imaginative Writing Skills Among First-Year Intermediate Female Students”, submitted by researcher Rania Abdul-Mahdi from the Arabic Language Department, specializing in Arabic language teaching methods.

The examination committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Saad Ali Zayer, with the membership and supervision of Professor Dr. Saba Hamed Hussein, and committee members Assistant Professor Dr. Ahoud Sami and Assistant Professor Dr. Israa Fadel Ameen (external member from the College of Basic Education / University of Babylon).

The research aimed to study the impact of the self-thinking description method on developing imaginative writing skills among first-year intermediate female students. The problem of students’ weakness in written and oral expression is considered one of the significant challenges facing educational systems at various academic levels.
