The College of Education for Human Sciences (Ibn Rushd), University of Baghdad, discussed a master’s thesis entitled “The Effect of the Branching Collaborative Story Strategy on the Expressive Performance of Fifth-Grade Primary School Pupils,” submitted by Noor Hammad Matar, a graduate student in the Department of Arabic Language specializing in Methods of Teaching Arabic.
The examination committee was chaired by Prof. Ruqayya Abdul A’imma Abdullah, with Prof. Dr. Payman Jalal Ahmed serving as both supervisor and committee member, alongside Prof. Dr. Saba Hamid Hussein. Assistant Prof. Dr. Thabit Kamil from the Open Educational College, Ministry of Education, participated as the external examiner.
The study aimed to investigate the effect of the Branching Collaborative Story Strategy on the expressive performance of fifth-grade primary school pupils.
The findings revealed that the Branching Collaborative Story Strategy was effective in improving pupils’ expressive performance. The strategy also proved to be more effective than the conventional method of teaching composition, leading to higher levels of student achievement.
