The College of Education Ibn Rushd for Humanities at the University of Baghdad discussed a master\u2019s thesis entitled \u201cAbsolute Thinking and Its Relationship to Personality Types among University Students,\u201d presented by Abdullah Nabeel Noor, a researcher from the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, specializing in Educational Psychology.<\/p>\n

The thesis defense committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Naji Mahmoud Naji, with Prof. Dr. Fadhil Jabbar Joudah serving as a member and supervisor, and Assistant Prof. Dr. Talib Ali Matlab as a member. Prof. Dr. Haider Kareem Sukkar from the College of Education at Al-Mustansiriyah University joined the committee as an external member.<\/p>\n

The study aimed to examine absolute thinking and personality types and identify the correlation between them among university students.<\/p>\n

The findings showed that the study sample had a low level of absolute thinking. The participants also demonstrated a higher prevalence of extraverted personality traits than introverted traits, as well as a higher prevalence of balanced personality traits than emotional traits.<\/p>\n

Based on these findings, the researcher recommended that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research adopt university counseling programs that promote cognitive flexibility and enhance students\u2019 ability to view situations from multiple perspectives, thereby helping maintain the low level of absolute thinking among students.<\/p>\n
