<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The College of Education for Human Sciences (Ibn Rushd), University of Baghdad, discussed a master’s thesis entitled “Spatial Analysis of Vocational Education Services in Baghdad Governorate for the Period 2015\u20132025,” presented by Ghadeer Asaad Rahim, a graduate student from the Department of Geography, specializing in Human Geography.<\/p>\n
The thesis examination committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Hanan Nu’man Waseen and included Professor Dr. Areej Bahjat Ahmed as supervisor and committee member, Assistant Professor Dr. Liqaa Kareem Khudhair as committee member, and Assistant Professor Dr. Huda Hussein Ali from the College of Arts, University of Anbar, who served as the external examiner.<\/p>\n
The study aimed to analyze the current geographical distribution of vocational secondary schools across Baghdad Governorate according to vocational specializations and administrative divisions. It also sought to examine the relationship between the outputs of vocational education and the requirements of the labor market.<\/p>\n
The findings revealed a clear spatial disparity in the distribution of vocational secondary schools across the administrative divisions of Baghdad Governorate, particularly in the suburban areas surrounding the capital. The study further indicated the absence of clear strategies for employing graduates of vocational secondary schools, which has contributed to a decline in students’ interest in this educational pathway. On the other hand, the research highlighted significant progress in vocational education, particularly in terms of the expansion of vocational specializations and their increasing alignment with technological advancements.<\/p>\n
