{"id":5859,"date":"2025-03-25T06:16:27","date_gmt":"2025-03-25T06:16:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.ircoedu.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=5859"},"modified":"2026-05-20T07:17:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-20T07:17:08","slug":"a-book-design-based-on-qr-code-technology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.ircoedu.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=5859","title":{"rendered":"A Book Design Based on QR Code Technology"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"409\">At the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Ibn Rushd College of Education for Human Sciences<\/span><\/span>, University of Baghdad, a PhD dissertation defense was held entitled \u201cThe Effectiveness of Designing a QR Code\u2013Based Book on Mathematics Achievement among Fifth-Grade Primary Students.\u201d The dissertation was submitted by researcher Iman Mahmoud Mahdi from the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, specializing in Curriculum and Instruction.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"411\" data-end=\"754\">The examination committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Dawood Abdul Salam Sabri, with Professor Dr. Naz Badr Khan Abdullah serving as member and supervisor. The committee also included a group of faculty members from the college, as well as Assistant Professor Dr. Asil Faeq Hassan as an external member representing the Ministry of Education.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"756\" data-end=\"1089\">The study aimed to examine the effectiveness of designing a book based on QR code technology in teaching mathematics to fifth-grade primary students in accordance with interactive textbook design standards. It also sought to measure the effect size of the textbook\u2019s effectiveness in relation to the variable of academic achievement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1091\" data-end=\"1693\">The results of the study showed that students in the experimental group, who studied mathematics using the interactive QR code\u2013based book, outperformed those in the control group who studied the same subject using the traditional curriculum approved by the Iraqi Ministry of Education in the post-achievement test. The researcher concluded that the use of such a book produces positive outcomes and is effective in transforming the traditional classroom environment into an active learning setting. It also facilitates easier access to information without the need to rely on classmates for assistance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1695\" data-end=\"2161\"
