Education enables upward socioeconomic mobility and is a key to escaping poverty. Over the past decade, major progress was made towards increasing access to education and school enrollment rates at all levels, particularly for girls. Nevertheless, about 260 million children were still out of school in 2018 \u2014 nearly one fifth of the global population in that age group. And more than half of all children and adolescents worldwide are not meeting minimum proficiency standards in reading and mathematics.Source<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The fourth goal of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) pertains to education, aiming to ensure quality education, promote lifelong learning, and enhance educational opportunities available to all regardless of gender, ethnicity, or social class, as well as sustainable learning opportunities until 2030.
\nWithin the policy of the University of Baghdad, achieving this goal can encompass several aspects, such as:
\nOffering high-quality educational programs that enhance academic standards and provide university education opportunities to as many students as possible, including providing opportunities for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Utilizing technology to enhance students\u2019 access to educational resources and online courses through centers for continuing education in the university (Continuing Education Center, Computing Center, Ibn Sina Center for Electronic Education), in addition to continuing education units in all university formations (colleges, institutes of postgraduate studies, research centers).<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
